this summer part 2

the second one...

What love is this?

What love is this,

That has creeped up on me?

Reluctantly I sink in my teeth

As the dark sets in, I wonder

How deep is the valley?

I can only see

The side mountains,

Scraps of settlements

Harboring

Ignitions of fear,

Temples looming

Over my doom

Before

Flags waving

Sounds hissing

Dust gathering

Weighing on me…

What hope is this?

Is it finally clear?...

this summer part 1

this is the first of a series that i wrote during the summer, didn't like, forgot about, then read again and revised...

When the blank paper spoke to me pt.1:

-Have you crossed the line again?

-Of course I have…

-Have you learned no lesson?

-I have honed a method

I am a predator

Fear me

Get away from me

Do not be nice to me

You cannot tame me

For I will tame you…

My way…

-Your way…

-I’m the fox and the hound

I’m the fish and the line

I’m a bird, I am free

-You are chained to your needs

-Love me if you dare

Spare me,

Will I disappear?

-Between the cracks

Under the fragments

Resides the ghost of the whole

And somewhere in there, the pieces…

-The pieces of my soul…

Philosophy?

these are not my words, these are not my thoughts, i am just the scissors and the glue...

Self-Evident Inner Space:

Self-evident inner space

My body is a landscape in the here and now

In an instant a concern grows larger

And stillness creeps upon my breathing

It’s a first movement engulfing me

A sensitivity alien to my possibility

Is there a change to the image appearing

Before it proves its synchronicity

There are figures looking towards my imagination

And I see something I am unable to see…

Again, grows a new possibility

Cultivating a perfectly experienced body

Interesting shapes pointing to questions

To changes varying in their clarity

A celebration of breath or a conflict

Both exposed in their severity

The movement follows the space it creates

And contact is achieved,

Fantasy to body.

The Edge

i wrote this after seeing this picture by the very talented Mher Krikorian
http://www.flickr.com/photos/krikorianm/5725789062/

i don't even know how close or far i am from his original idea, but that's not the point...

i love it when artworks inspire me...

so here goes...

The Edge:

I stepped aside and let the flow through

Steadily gazing

At the pieces it washed on its way

Didn’t try to hold anything back,

Took an effort…

Yet I ruined another instance of luck…

How was it that you never came back?

How was it that you left me this worthlessness?

I stepped ahead and moved around the truth

Hungrily inhaling

All the scents and remnants of your stay

Didn’t notice it led me back to this place,

Damp and hazy…

How is it that I can’t escape your ghost?

How is it that I can’t hurl back your memory?

I stepped away and came back to the edge…

Hands free this time,

Hands free…

ooops there u go...

inspired by and written while listening to solo piano improvisations by the tremendously talented Vladimir Kurumilian...

Untitled…

Explain to me how we got lost?

When was the echoing sound,

Bouncing off so many walls?

We had reached a momentum,

You were soaring with delight, and

I was floating near by…

Explain to me how it came to be?

In a moment whose irony was lost on me

Where steep realizations revered in glee

I was covered in sticky ooze,

I was crashing fast into the sea

Far below

Where the noise turned into a hum

As I watched you,

Helplessly,

Flying away from me…

exit already

what's holding on to whom, who's holding on to what, and then there's the wait...

Exit already:

Fail and move on already

Stagnation is at your core

So exit once more

One elongated moment,

Callous with a tight grip,

Has drowned energy in temper

I let it take control

I let it

I hate it

I let it

I blame it…

Cannot take no more

Bring on the last encore

And exit already…

carefully...

inspired by a conversation in my car in the underground parking... (and alela diane)
the relief was momentary i guess... some things remain unsaid...

Carefully:

Carefully, carefully gather your thoughts

A pile up, another losing its ground

Has the dark allowed you out yet?

For the joy of remembering,

Let me hum a song

A wordless lullaby,

Dripping with melancholy…

Have you smiled yet?

Oh something’s gone awry…

Damn the impaired contemplation

Put in a paper bag and blow…

Carefully, carefully regain reason

Sustain the notion of an impediment,

Pick up your humor, mine has gone…
